Finally bought Deborah Lippmann’s glitter in the air (sadly, the Revlon dupe isn’t out here yet D:) about two weeks ago and finally tried it out tonight. I have loved this polish for a while and I’m still loving the end result, but four coats will probably mean I won’t wear it too often. I think next time I will have to start off with a plain light blue as a base before applying this.

Before the days of CGI, were you or directors ever concerned about the visibility of your tattoos?
You know, I actually did the opposite. I think there was a time - this is gonna get far too psychological and for no reason, but - there was a time when I think as an actor you remain this blank canvas and you transform for the different characters and you don’t get tattoos because you must remain this clean palette because what if your character doesn’t have tattoos? And there was a part of me that felt that I wanted to claim my own body and this is mine, the character is second to me. So, that was the first time. I remember thinking that when I got the first tattoo on my arm, that this would be a hard one, but it was a strange quiet moment with myself where I thought ‘Okay, this is something that maybe I can’t cover, but you can’t cover everything’.
Have you graduated beyond the tattoo getting part of your life?
No, no.
You’re gonna keep doing it?
Well most of my tattoos, a lot of them were done in different countries, or they’re done tribally in Asia for my children. A lot of the coordinates for where I met my kids, so they’re all symbolic of my family. My Mom said it was like a totem pole of my history, so…
